OPTIPAC VMC-12
A most effective stenter-control system

A modular process control system comprising a number of diverse modules, each capable of monitoring and controlling the specific process parameters. The system can be extended at any time in accordance with requirements and available funds.

Accurate monitoring and control of thermal processes can be used to exploit potential cuts in energy consumption of up to 30 %, increase productivity, and ensure a reproducible, higher standard of quality.

PERMASET VMT (dwell-time)
On many bonding processes, the product's progrssive rise in temperature, and the one it finally attains, or the time it dwells at that specific temperature, is of primary importance.
When it is bonded by liquefied agents, the latter have to be cured by subjecting them to heat (dried, cured or polimerised in accordance with the applied agent). Bonding by solids in the form of fibre or powder likewise require the application of heat (hot-melt).
Infrared pyrometers monitor from a distance the surface temperature of the nonwoven at several points along or, optionally, across a dryer. By recording the material's rise in temperature as it passes through the dryer, dwell-time can be controlled to a precise degree. Control of dwell-time increases productivity, enhances quality, and at the same time cuts energy-related costs.

TEXTOMETER RMS (moisture retention)
Measures and controls the percentage of moisture retained by an on-line fabric as it leaves a dryer by varying line-speed accordingly. The measured variable is the moisture-related resistivity of the material. Many different types of electrode are available to suit a wide variety of applications.

ECOMAT AML (exhaust humidity)
Measures the amount of moisture in the air inside a dryer or exhaust duct, and controls the volume of exhaust accordingly. The sensor detects with the help of a dual zirconium-oxide cell.

GRAVIMAT FMI (weight per unit area)
Continuous, non-contact measurement of weight per m². The amount ß-rays weaken in intensity as they are absorbed by a material is a measure of its weight.
