Perhaps you can save yourself the trouble of having to ask by finding the answer here to your specific questions. We touch on aspects here that were often the cause of a problem.

  • How is an FMC-10A switched on?

    With the main switch.

  • How do I know when there is a detectionrelated problem?

    The weft-line graphics (Bars) on the main display fail to reflect the actual skew or bow distortion (the histograms record exaggerated or fluctuating degrees of bow and skew).

  • What does a yellow flashig control symbol signify?

    Control has been disabled, ie. line-speed is too low, and has fallen below the BE thershold.

  • How do I select various recipes?

    By touching the appropriately "named" section in the recipe display. The next page is accessed by using the cursor buttons.

  • What does an indicated distprtion of x % mean?

    A 1 % indication means a 1 cm distortion over a 1 m wide web!

  • What do the red peaks on the histograms tell me?

    They record any residual distortion over a specified time or passage count.

  • How should I run narrow fabrics?

    By switching to 6, 4, or 2 scanners only.

  • How do I call up a recipe?

    By touching the "Load recipe" button.

  • How is the passage counter set to 0?

    By touching the "momentary line-speed indicator."

  • What should I do on a change of fabric (new batch)?

    If the width differs, reposition the scanners to suit. If the quality differs, change the recipe or light source if need be.
